Jamie Dornan Addresses Absurd Fan Theories Regarding Dakota Johnson Relationship

Romance rumors have circulated about Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson since their roles in the Fifty Shades of Grey film franchise. Dismissing these speculations, the 39-year-old actor labeled fan theories about a romantic involvement and even having children together as 'absurd.'

Playing Christian Grey opposite Dakota's Anastasia Steele, Jamie, a Northern Irish actor, discussed the unique experience of the Fifty Shades series on The Jonathan Ross Show. Despite the films' tremendous success, Jamie humorously noted that he already has enough children, referring to his three daughters with his wife Amelia Warner.

Reflecting on the impact of the role, Jamie expressed relief when Charlie Hunnam was initially cast as Christian Grey. Charlie eventually dropped out, leading Jamie to secure the part that arguably defined his career. Jamie acknowledged the enduring nature of fan theories surrounding the Fifty Shades world, stating, "I think I’ll be dealing with that my whole life."

Beyond his Fifty Shades experience, Jamie shared insights into his early career, recalling living with actor Eddie Redmayne. Despite friendly competition and frequent auditions for the same roles, the two supported each other throughout their journeys.

Jamie's latest project, Kenneth Branagh’s Belfast, is a heartfelt film set in Northern Ireland in the late 1960s. Portraying Buddy's father, Jamie stars alongside Caitriona Balfe as his mother and Dame Judi Dench as his grandmother.
