Jamie Dornan Reveals Persistent Fan Theories and Stalking Incidents from "50 Shades" Fandom

Despite more than five years passing since the last installment of the "Fifty Shades" trilogy, Jamie Dornan shares that the franchise's fervent fandom is still alive. In an interview with The Guardian, the actor, known for portraying Christian Grey, disclosed that some fans have propagated a peculiar theory – suggesting he and co-star Dakota Johnson have a secret child together.

Dornan described the lingering intensity of the franchise's fandom, citing "feverish" fan engagement and the persistence of "mad theories." He specifically mentioned the outlandish belief that he and Johnson share a hidden child, recounting an incident during lockdown when he received a collage of photographs purporting to be of their alleged offspring.

The actor, who has three children with his wife, Amelia Warner, expressed how the theory was both intriguing and unsettling. He highlighted the unnerving aspect of fans delving into his personal life, recounting an incident where his home was featured in a tabloid, leading to heightened security measures due to a stalking situation that required the involvement of the authorities.

Reflecting on the aftermath of the "Fifty Shades" series, Dornan mentioned his diverse career ventures, including roles in Kenneth Branagh's "Belfast" and Chris Sweeney's TV series "The Tourist." Despite moving beyond the franchise, he remains wary of the unusual and sometimes unsettling attention from fans.
