The Fifty Shades of Grey Star Admits to Intriguing Method for Character Study

Jamie Dornan, renowned for his role in Fifty Shades of Grey, recently disclosed a peculiar preparation technique for his role as a stalker in the crime drama series, The Fall. The 41-year-old actor admitted to briefly following a woman on the London Underground, delving into the character's mindset.

Although acknowledging his actions with a lack of pride, Dornan shared that he followed the woman for a short distance, even continuing the act after she exited the Underground, navigating a few street corners. Reflecting on this experience, he stated to the LA Times, "I’m sort of not proud of myself. But I do honestly think I learned something from it because I’ve obviously never done any of that."

In addition to his unique preparation methods, Dornan spoke about his encounters with fervent fans, including being stalked after his residence was exposed by a tabloid. Despite being happily married, he continues to receive speculative messages from fans, who even concocted theories about a supposed real-life romance with his Fifty Shades co-star, Dakota Johnson.

Addressing the intense fan speculation, Dornan shared with the Irish Times, "The fandom of that franchise is still feverish. They’ve got all kinds of mad theories." He recounted instances of stalking that prompted him to involve authorities, expressing a level of fear and a deliberate decision to distance himself from such situations.
